Step 1: Define Your Tablet Specifications

- Tablet dimensions — diameter (or length x width), thickness, cup depth
- Tooling standard — D, B, or BB (determined by your tablet press)
- Quantity — number of tooling sets needed (minimum 10 sets at EMMKAY)
- Steel grade preference — OHNS, HCHC, S7, or EMMKAY Special Steel (compare grades)
- Engraving details — logo artwork, text, font, break line pattern

Step 2: Contact EMMKAY with Your Requirements

Step 3: Receive a Quotation
We provide quotations within 24 hours. The quotation includes price per set (upper punch + lower punch + die), steel grade and hardness, coating costs if requested, estimated production time, shipping cost, and payment terms. For standard shapes in stock sizes, we can often quote immediately by phone.
Step 4: Approve the CAD Drawing
For custom designs, our engineering team creates a detailed CAD drawing showing exact tablet dimensions, punch tip profile, engraving layout, and die bore dimensions. This is the most important step — review carefully:
- Verify all dimensions match your requirements
- Check that the logo and text appear correctly
- Confirm break line position and depth
- Approve or request changes before manufacturing begins

Step 5: Manufacturing
Once you approve the CAD drawing and confirm the order, we schedule production. Our process includes raw material selection, CNC turning and milling, heat treatment, precision grinding, engraving, and coating application. Typical timelines:
- Standard shapes (stock): 7–10 working days
- Custom shapes (new design): 15–20 working days
- Complex multi-tip designs: 20–25 working days

Step 6: Quality Inspection and Shipping
Before shipping, every set undergoes dimensional verification against the approved CAD drawing, hardness testing (HRC), surface finish inspection, visual inspection for defects, and a fit check for punch and die compatibility.
- Within India: Courier or transport, 2–5 days depending on location
- Delhi NCR: Same-day or next-day delivery possible
- International: Air freight (5–7 days) or sea freight for large orders
Tips for a Smooth Order
- Provide clear artwork — vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) work best for logo engraving
- Specify embossing vs debossing — most logos and text are debossed (pressed into the tablet)
